RCBWS FORMAT 2022

 

REGIONAL ROUNDS

  • Each club will hold one regional round.

  • Only RCBWS roof grades are to be displayed at RCBWS meetings.

  • There is to be no copying/duplicate Championships at RCBWS clubs.

  • Each club is expected to ensure that all participants adhere to RCBWS build and race rules.

  • Scrutineering must take place as the start of the meeting by the designated scrutineers, and random scrutineering is to take place throughout the meeting if deemed necessary.

  • Three rounds of heats (minimum 45 laps).  Must be laps NOT timed races.

  • B final winner to be promoted to A Final. (Up to top 3, depending on  numbers in attendance).

  • A Final is to be a minimum of 80 laps.

  • Each of the clubs are then to send copies of all their meeting results (heats & finals) to Gill*, either by email or messenger (photos of the print outs are sufficient, as long as they are readable!).

  • Juniors (under the age of 16 on 1st Jan 2022) must be clearly stated. 

  • Gill will keep a point’s chart for each region.

  • Driver’s race numbers and full names are required to avoid confusion.

  • 3700 battery limit for DD, and 5000 battery limit for heats and finals.

  • Each club is to provide trophies for the following

    • Top 3 finishers in the A Fina​l

    • Top Junior in A Final (not within the top 3)

    • B Final  winner

    • DD winner

    • Smart Car(s)

  • Each club collects £1 from each participating driver, which will go towards trophies etc at the Grand Finale.  This is to be paid into the PayPal account* after the meeting has taken place.  

 

 

GRAND FINALE

  • The Grand Finale will take place on Sunday 30th October at Guildford RC Raceway.

  • Shells  - see list below (all SWB).

  • Gill and Alec will run the meeting.

  • Those who have qualified will be contacted and offered their place in the Grand Finale.

  • Those who have qualified for the Grand Finale and also intend to run in the Granada WF may bring two cars.

  • There will be 2 Championships up for grabs at this meeting, The National Banger Granada World Final (Gold roof & pillars) and RCBWS Championship (black & gold roof for senior class, Black & Silver roof for junior class).

  • All drivers will need to bring a brand new motor to the meeting (brand tbc), still sealed in its bag.  For the Final, these motors will be placed in a bucket and handed out at random for the drivers to insert in their cars, before the Final.

  • Grand Finale will determine the RCBWS Championship (black & gold checks roof grade).  Top finishing Junior will be RCBWS Junior Champion (black & silver checks roof grade).  .

  • Once the Grand Finale has taken place, there will then be a standard meeting for the National Banger Granada World Final (gold roof & pillars).

  • If time is sufficient, there will then be an all-in DD.

  • Smart Car Awards for Senior And Junior.

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd in Grand Finale for RCBWS Championship.

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd in Grand Finale for RCBWS Junior Championship.

  • B Final Winner (plus promotion to the A Final) in the Granada WF.

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd for Granada WF.

  • Top Junior in the Granada WF (not in the top three).

  • Last running Junior and last running Senior in the DD.

  • Presentation of RCBWS DD Champions (Junior & Senior).
